We have a casual game and have had it running for around 12 years. Good mix of all skill levels. Good place for new people to get started playing. We tend to run with a few more than regulation rather than having people substitute to keep everyone playing the whole time. We usually run two games due to the number of people and occasionally 3 games at once. Usually were anywhere between 28-38 people on a given Sunday and a smaller game on Fridays. Times change depending on the season. 6pm start in the summer. 5pm Start in the winter and we have lights. We currently play from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm on Sundays and currently on Fridays from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 P also. Fridays turnout is usually a little smaller and one game instead of two. Sometimes we run games on other days too.
Sometimes Olmos Basin Sports Complex (Soccer Fields) are flooded in which case we play on our backup fields at McCullough and Basse next to the baseball fields.

St. Mary's Pickup and Practice during academic year
Ultimate Frisbee at St. Mary's University will run from mid-August when classes start and go through the end of April, except school breaks (from early Dec to early Jan). For example, for 2026, we started up again Thu Aug 20.
Any level of player is welcome. We usually play on a field between the baseball and softball stadiums on Thursdays when school at St. Mary's University is in session (mid Aug - end Apr). Bring a white shirt, very dark shirt and water.
We play every Sunday from 11:00am - 3:00pm at Universal City Park in San Antonio.
We use cones to mark the field and change the size with the amount of players in the game. I encourage players of all skill levels to play with us, keeping in mind that we play hard but more than anything else we play for fun.

Pick up games run every Friday night, regardless of weather, starting at 730. Go for a few hours. We play at the field next to the Texas State Tennis Center. There is parking across the street.
We are relatively beginner friendly, however, majority of us have been playing together for several months to years. We are definitely beginner inclusive and try to help each other out. We also keep the trash talking and cussing off the field.
We do not typically call stall counts, travels, or fouls on beginners and do our best to not need them in general. It's very informal.
Ultimate is about the spirit of the game and we're out there to have fun and be a little competitive. Yes, in all weather conditions imaginable!
